The Grand Marshal & Grand Marshal Dinner


Each year, the Parade Committee selects a Grand Marshal, who along Miss St. Patrick, leads the parade down High Street in Mount Holly, NJ. The parade’s Grand Marshal is selected by the Parade Committee, which plans the parade. There is no formal criteria for the selection of the parade Grand Marshal, but the Committee generally looks for someone honorable to represent the Irish community of South Jersey who is typically a community leader and/or volunteer and who is of Irish heritage or has contributed to the Irish community or its heritage.

On the Sunday prior to the Parade (the last Sunday in February), the Grande Marshal and Ms. St. Patrick are honored at the Grand Marshal Dinner. The Grand Marshal Dinner is one the Parade’s biggest fundraisers. Tickets include dinner, drinks and Irish entertainment.
